Energy Optimization

Context:

byNubian is a belgian company that offers innovative Software and HW-solutions for capturing, persisting and processing enterprise and IOT data. byNubian is mostly active in the smart building and energy sectors.

Project:

We helped byNubian with the development of advanced optimization algorithms to optimize energy systems either connected or disconnected to the energy grid which have energy production units (i.e. solar pannels), flexible energy consummers (for which consumption can be optimially scheduled in advanced, like a factory machine), static energy consummers (for which we have no control on, but that we can forecast the typical load) and with possibly some energy storage deviced (like a battery) The optimization can be done with different objectives like for instance minimizing the overal energy bill of the system.
