Salmon Cutting Optimization

Context:

Salm Invest Group is a food company active in the import and preparation of salmon filets. They were wondering if the salmon filet cutting process could be optimized via Computer Visition and Deep Learning. One of the challenge is to predict the best cutting shape to satisfy customer requirements but also to guarantee a fixed (pre-defined) weight.

Project:

Deeper Analytics developped a proof of concept to achieve this goal. Technologies involves implieds depth camera, machine learning, computer vision and optimization.
