Context:

Datavillage is a "ME2B" personal data company focused on building a consumer-centric data ecosystem. Leveraging Personal Data Stores (PDS) and concepts like SOLID, they develop applications and use cases, rather than the core PDS technology itself. Their aim is to demonstrate the practical application of these technologies, creating real-world solutions that empower individuals with control over their data. They also develop a SaaS platform empowering companies to quickly make use of these concepts and data stored in user PDS.

Project:

Deeper Analytics enabled Datavillage to showcase the practical potential of decentralized data. We developed proof-of-concept data science algorithms, including a recommendation engine for Auvio.be content. This engine, overcoming PDS constraints, integrated Spotify and Facebook user data, moving beyond traditional algorithms. We employed knowledge graphs and custom solutions to deliver personalized recommendations while respecting user data privacy, demonstrating the feasibility of data science within a decentralized ecosystem.
